Google to remove Quickoffice of Google Play and iTunes

Quickoffice is a known application file management via mobile office that Google bought in 2012. since then has undergone many changes, and Google began offering the app for free a few months ago .

Now the company report that removed the application shall cease to develop, to improve it, so we will not have available on android or iOS.

The reason is obvious: all its functions are being integrated into Google Drive.

We have already seen how Google launched Google Docs, Sheets and Presentations as native applications for mobile, so it makes no sense to duplicate the functions on a platform like QuickOffice. It is possible to open office documents from the new Google applications, you can create presentations from android devices, manage and share information from tablets. nobody will miss Quickoffice.

In Google’s blog comment that users already have it installed may continue to use it, but there will be no update and no longer allow new users in the coming weeks.
